He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Burton and LuEtta Mae Burton (Spencer); his sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Weatherford; and his uncle Russell "Bud" Spencer. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Burton and Jessica Burton; his sister Brenda Petersen; and his brother-in-law Dirk Weatherford. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
