With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Francis Gering (Atchison, Kansas), who passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gering and Alice Gering (Domann); his daughter Melinda Misner; his grandchildren, Christopher Misner, Nikki Lynn Guardado and Steven James Gering; and his brother Joseph Gering.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Kevin Gering (Bridget), Christina Guardado and Laurie Prout (TJ); his grandchildren, William Gering, Derrick Guardado and Kaitlyn Misner; and also Robert Gering (Carole).
A rosary was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home (800 Kansas Ave, Atchison, KS 66002). Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (18760 Rogers Rd, Atchison, KS 66002). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Corpus Christi Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Corpus Christi Cemetery or Tunnel to Towers and may be sent in care of funeral home.
