He was predeceased by: his parents, John B., Sr. and Florence Kane (Byrne); his wife Beulah Fitzpatrick; and his siblings, Elvin "Skip" Kane, Donald "Bud" Kane, Lorene Clemens, Mary Lou Andre, Margie Swenson, Pat Rush and Doris Blankenship.
He is survived by: his children, Richard "Archie" Kane (Betty) of Atchison, KS, Eddie Kane (Cindy) of Eudora, KS, Brian Kane (Tracy) of Atchison, KS and Rose Trower (Tim) of Atchison, KS; and his brother Eugene Kane of Atchison, KS. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, with one on the way, a great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion New Building Fund or Medicalodges Activity Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
