We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2021, at the age of 93, Joan Schmitt in Atchison, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marie Hillman and Erwin O. Hillman; her sons, Philip (Kristen), Roger (Susan), Robert (Myrna) and Thomas (Mary); her grandchildren, Alexis Jones (Tristan), Erika, Abbey, Ethan, Callie, Robert, Anna and Philip Jr.; and her great grandchild Cora Jones. She was also cherished by friends and relatives.
