He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo G. Smith and Theresa L. Smith (Bataitis); and his sister Karen Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Angelika; his sons, Shawn Smith (Katie) of Topeka, KS and Justin Smith of Atchison, KS; and his sister Sharon Hanks. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements.
