He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Botts and Alma Botts (Hawkins); and his brother Charles R. Botts. He is survived by: his children, Melanie Viola (Ivano) of East Windsor, NJ and Bryan Botts (Midge) of Shawnee, KS; and his grandchildren, Morgan Botts, Mallory Botts, Shen Viola and Sukanya Viola.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society or The Atchison Salvation Army and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
