He was predeceased by: his father James T.; and his sister Wanda Rooks. He is survived by: his mother Viola V. Rooks, Sr. (Kelley); his former spouse Tabetha Bond; his daughters, Lakeshia Grant of Detroit, MI, Jada Rooks of Atchison, KS and Jamen Rooks of Atchison, KS; his stepchildren, Brittany Bird, Allison Bird of Atchison, KS, James Harvey Bird, Jr. of Atchison, KS, Cody Bird of Atchison, KS and Austin Bird of Atchison, KS; his brother John Rooks of Eagan, MN; and his grandchildren, Ivory, Avery Bird, Kayla, Kennedy Grant and Grayson Rooks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
