James Patrick McManigle Obituary
James (Bull) Patrick McManigle, 53, of Atchison, KS. Tragically and unexpectedly passed away on February 15, 2022.
James was born in Breckenridge, MN on October 15, 1968 to Dennis (Pat) and Rose (Stach) McManigle. The family lived in Wahpeton, ND until 1974, when they moved to Colfax, ND. James attended Richland Elementary School in Abercrombie, ND, Richland Junior and Senior High School in Colfax, ND. He was active in football and track. James worked at the family owned gas station helping his father fix cars and also worked at area farms with his father. After graduating high school in 1987, James joined the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years and had a Rank of Corporal E-4. Receiving an honorable discharge, James moved to Independence, MO., then to Leavenworth, KS. Where he went to school to become a master Technician and loved working on vehicles.
James is the father of 3 children. He welcomed his first son, Robert Dennis on October 11, 1996. James was so proud to be a father and raised his son on his own for a few years, he then met LaTisha Inman – they had two children, a daughter (his little princess) Natilley Marie on, July 6, 2003 and son Derrick Dalton on November 11, 2005. James and LaTisha married on April 21, 2006. They later divorced in February. 2013. James then became a member of the National Vocational Honor Society at Kansas City Community College.
James enjoyed spending time with fellow veterans, he loved being a mechanic and working on vehicles, being outdoors, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed going on bike rides with Abate, where he participated in fun runs, he rode with RMO, FORR Local 6 in St. Joe, Vets in Leavenworth, he rode with Post 56 VFW, Combat Vets Motorcycle Association 2122, Christian Motorcycle Association out of Leavenworth, KS, Jesse James Chapter of ABATE MO. James accepted and welcomed God and church in his life.
James is survived by his son - Robert (Rebecca) McManigle and Granddaughter, Everleigh, Goodyear. AZ, Daughter – Natilley McManigle, Leavenworth, KS, and Son - Derrick McManigle, Leavenworth, KS. Sister - Peggy (John Sr.) Sutton, Independence, MO., Sister - Fay (Vern) Mosny, Detroit Lakes, MN., Niece - Marsha (Joel) Tronstad, and their children, Michael and Matthew, Independence, MO. Niece - Angela (William II) Cummins and their son William III, Kansas City, MO, Nephew, John (Sarah) Sutton II, Reeds Spring, MO., Niece - Jennifer Mosny, Detroit Lakes, MN, Niece – Jessica (Nick) Konen, and their children, Benson and Clara, Ramsey, MN. Niece – Julie (Andrew) Linaman and their children, Mason and Sydney, Andover, MN.
James was preceded in death by his parents – Dennis and Rose McManigle and younger brother – David.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Colfax, ND where he will be laid to rest beside his parents at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery, Colfax, ND.
