It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hubert Charles Elias (Atchison, Kansas), who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Elias and Agnes Elias (Cavanaugh); his daughter Pamela; and his brothers, William Elias and John Elias.

He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Elias of Denver, CO and Dina (Cameron Hildebran); his grandsons, Allen and Leo of Arvada, Colo.; his sons, John Elias of Atchison, Kan and James (Mariah Elias); and his grandchildren, Zolan, Huxley and Oslo.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cherith Brook Catholic Worker and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

“Chuck was one of my heroes. I got him know him on visits to Mount St. Scholastica where he was an Oblate (lay associate). He was a true Benedictine in the many ways he gave service and showed compassion for others. I will always remember the first time I met him. He was overseeing the packing of Thanksgiving Day dinners to be delivered to shut-ins and the poor of Atchison. That was Chuck. Atchison has lost a great friend. My heart goes out to his family.”
