With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George A. Kelley Sr. of Atchison, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Cluke and Guy Kelley, Sr.; and his siblings, Guy Kelley, Jr. (Wynona), James Kelley (Loretta), Marion Kelley (Cheryl), William Kelley, Michael McNair, Sylvia Busey (Frank), Ethel Downing (Clifford), Loretta Downing (Richard) and Eleanor Garlington (Elmo).
He is survived by: his wife Rita Kelley (E. Church) of Atchison, KS; his children, George A. Kelley, Jr. (Charo) of Atchison, KS, Lori A. Kelley (Allie) of Atchison, KS and Danelle G. Wolfe (Timothy) of Tulsa, OK; and his siblings, Otha H. "Dude" Kelley (Anna) of Atchison, KS and Viola V. Lewis (Oddis) of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (1311 N 7th St, Atchison, KS 66002). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
