It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Shade of Atchison, Kansas, born in Easton, Kansas, who passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Shade and Anna Shade (Heugel); and his siblings, Carl Shade, Clarabelle Shade, Mary Wiley and Larry Shade.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Shade; his children, Teresa Atzenweiler (Dan) and Brandon Shade (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Dalton (Haley), Garrett, Caigen (Gabrielle), Coy Atzenweiler, Emma and Rae Scott; his great grandchildren, Axel, Bowen, Declan and Cian Atzenweiler; and his siblings, Robert Shade (Cherie), Stella Hogan, Richard Shade, Jean Shimp and Verda Visocsky. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
