He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Floyd, Lulu Garrett, Waldo and Frieda Hunning; his parents-in-law, Marilyn and Harold Leuthold; and his brother-in-law Don Strahm.
He is survived by: his parents, Gene Garrett and Margaret Garrett; his wife Cheryl; his daughters, Savannah Heironimus (Erik), Jillian Doeden (Jake) and Rachel Garrett-Smith (Adam); his granddaughter Emory "Twig" Heironimus; his nieces, Lorinda Strahm, Nikki Heiman (Kent), Tara Ploeger (Jesse) and Natalie Deters (Dennis); his sisters-in-law, Debbie Leuthold and Terry Leuthold; his pet Tiny; and also, Dennis Leuthold, Brad Leuthold, Haili Hoffman (Ryan) and Kelli Keim (Austin). He is also survived by three daughters.
Due to the current pandemic, a private family service will be held with Rev. Cyd Stein with burial at Sabetha Cemetery, Sabetha, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the Atchison United Methodist Church or the Prostate Cancer Foundation and may be sent to the funeral home.
