It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Atlakson (Atchison, Kansas), born in Frankfort, Kansas, who passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Minnis Riley and Dorothy Riley (Kaul); her husband Keith Atlakson; her children, Kevin Atlakson of Gladstone, MO, Karen Winney (Bob) of Overland Park, KS and Mary Beth Wohlgemuth (Kent) of Atchison, KS; her brother Dr. Ken Riley (Cheryl) of Hiawatha, KS; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Erin, Keith, Mathew, Andrew and Adam; her pet Debbie-Molly; and her sister Mary Elizabeth Hochuli. She was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society in lieu of flowers and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
