He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Prohaska and Mary Prohaska (Vanderweide); his son Andy Prohaska; and his brother LaVerne Prohaska. He is survived by: his wife Alberta Prohaska; his children, Mary Voth (Gayle), Richard Prohaska (Sharon), Larry Prohaska (Nancy) and Dan Prohaska (Amy); his grandchildren, Emily Prohaska, Fritz Prohaska (Susan), Clare C. Prohaska (Alex Bridges), Laura Darland (Tyler), Alex Prohaska, Luke Prohaska, Clare A. Prohaska and Juliana Voth; and his great grandchildren, Hugo Bridges, Damian Darland and Elise Bridges.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict Church (1000 N 2nd St, Atchison, KS 66002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
