He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Megenity and Zelma Jackson Megenity; his wife Shirley Megenity; his great grandchild Alex Brown; his siblings, Paul Leroy Megenity and Marjorie Belveal; and his son-in-law Dennis Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Gene Megenity (Lorraine) of Atchison, KS, Debbie Peters of Atchison, KS, Robin Springstead (Michael) of Atchison, KS, Carla Wolfe (Allen) of Atchison, KS and Julie Commings (Nathan) of Lowry City, MO; and his brother Francis Megenity of Barnes, KS. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association and may be left in care of the funeral home.
