He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hammond and Edith Hammond (King); his former wife Mary Ann Hammond; his brother Dale Hammond; and his stepson Shannon Helms.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his daughters, Stacey Hammond of Topeka and Shelly Hammond of Wichita; his stepsons, Johnie Helms (Sherry) of Edmond, Okla and Brent Helms (Donna) of Salina; his stepgrandchildren, Lucretia Helms-Murray (Larry), Tiffany Lauber, Sierra Jones (Ryan), Alisha Helms, Breanna Helms and Jasmine Helms; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Addison Lauber, Alivia Lauber, Cade Jones and Presley Jones.
