It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cy Ulmen of Assaria, Kansas, born in Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on November 12, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Joseph and Lucille Ulmen (Prom); his wife Barbara Smith; his son Thayer Ulmen; his daughter-in-law Kara Ulmen; and his siblings, Martin J. Ulmen Jr., Mary Ann Bentley (Ulmen), Iona Widmer (Ulmen) and Barbara Gehrke (Ulmen).
He is survived by: his daughter Lucinda Nelson (Sheldon); his grandson Wes; his son Timothy Ulmen; his grandson T. J. Ulmen (Tegan); his great grandchild Quincy; his granddaughters, Emily Enz (Jacob) and Ryan Ulmen; his great grandchild Tristen Bacon; and his siblings, Norbert Ulmen, Theresa Widmer (Ulmen) and Patricia Juenemann (Ulmen).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Assaria Lutheran Church or to the Salina Area Emergency Food Bank.
