Barbara Lee Bessel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2025, at the age of 77, Barbara Lee Bessel of Assaria, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Lee Bessel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Helmer and Leona Helmer (Higgins); her stepmother Carol Helmer; her sister Georgie Vogel; and her niece Darla Gore.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Bessel; her daughters, Wendy Holtz (Jo) and Marci Finck (Aaron); her grandchildren, Alexis Holtz, Haylee Holtz, Logan Holtz and Kherrington Finck; her great grandchildren, Nya Mendenhall and Octavia Holtz; and her sisters, Linda Stucky and Brenda Buller (Mark). She is also survived by her many nephews, nieces, and cousins, along with countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ark Church (2020 E Iron Ave, Salina, KS 67401). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would love any gifts in Barb's memory to be directed to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center or The Ark Church Salina in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth, Salina KS.
