She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Slaven and Esther E. Slaven (Evans); and her fiancé Ernie Eckert. She is survived by: her daughter Sheryl Jordan of Overland Park; her grandchildren, Sydney Jordan (Lance Vaillancourt) of Lenexa and Ian Jordan of Overland Park; her sisters, Becky Maddern (Bob) of Kansas City, MO and Nancy Taylor (Tim) of Peoria; her nephew Zack Maddern (Maria Dominick) of Kansas City, MO; and her niece Lauren Taylor of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
