He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph M. Adams and Eva L. Adams (Reeves); his daughter Susan Diane Adams; and his sister Marjorie Gardner. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Robert of Topeka; his wife Shirley Bates; his children, Karen Louise Simmons (Gregory) of Rose Hill, Kenneth Taylor of Douglass and Johnathan Adams (Kimberly) of Rose Hill; his siblings, Phylis Silvis of Andover, Patricia Oldfather of Winterhaven, CA and Mel Adams (Pamela) of Andover; and his grandchildren, Zackary, Lindsey, Courtney, Zachary, Ashley, Lorie, Keegan, Will, Cooper, Karen Anne and Jessie. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the First Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
