With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Eli Highfill of Arkansas City, Kansas, who passed away on June 1, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli R. Highfill and Faye L. Terrel (Ford); and his brothers, Hoyt Highfill and Jimmy Highfill. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Monica Peppler (Travis) of Niceville, FL, Mike LaPlant (Barbara) of Lago Vista, TX, Mark LaPlant (Nancy) of Santa Clarita, CA and Melissa Selden (Steve) of Pittsburgh, PA; his sister Barbara Lear of Great Bend, KS; and his pet Lulu. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five nieces, four nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Lord's Diner in Wichita. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
