He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel Jones and Edith Jones (Herold); and his daughter Melissa Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Lewis N. Jones (Rhonda) and Tiffany Jones of Arkansas City; his sister Juanita J. Churchill of Wichita; and his grandsons, Corey, Trey and Larry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
