It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Watson of Arkansas City, Kansas, who passed away on December 5, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Josephine Watson (Barlow) and Superintendent James Watson, Jr.; his brother James R. Watson; and his daughter Melinda Watson. He is survived by: his son Melvin L. Watson II; his wife Annie Watson; his sister Linda Watson-Morris; his children, Dr. Jomella Watson-Thompson (Eric), JeAnna Watson-Tolbert and Ronald L. Brown (Christa); his aunt Arceolla Fields (Harvey); and his uncle Charles E. Watson (Linda). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several godchildren, two sisters-in-law, one niece and two nephews, a host of cousins, family, friends.
A memorial fund has been established with Foundation of Life Ministries, Inc. Contributions may be made through the funeral home or the McGee Chapel Foundation of Life Ministries, 114 E. 8th Ave., Hutchinson KS 67501.
