She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Harper and Rebecca Jane Waggoner (Jones); her sisters, Nancy John, Jessie Jean Waggoner and Margaret Prichard; her daughter Rebecca Jane Armstrong; her granddaughter Tessa Kessel (James); and her great grandchild Chelsey Kessel.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn James (Robert) of Mulvane, Larry Armstrong (Chris) of Winfield and James Armstrong (Katie Linderman) of Lamont, OK; her grandchildren, Brian James, Justin Armstrong (Tabitha), Sean Armstrong, Annabelle and Jamie Kay Armstrong; her great grandchildren, Logan, Grace, Claire Armstrong, Sierra Thomas and Kyler Villa; her stepgrandchildren, Tanna, Thomas Linderman, Brett McClure (Madi) and Jace McClure (Stormie Ranzau); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Joshua, Shyann, Alexis Clark, Brylen, Jack McClure and Charlie Linderman; and her sister Linda Steward (Lou) of Winfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Service (4001 E 9th Ave, Winfield, KS 67156). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in Lila's name for the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
