She was predeceased by: her father Robert "Bob" Justice (Bill Baird). She is survived by: her mother Sarah Justice (Morgan); her children, Patrick Baird and Brooke Istas (Rob Istas); her friend Gary Welch; her husband Gary Welch; her grandson Ethan Istas; her brother Terry Justice; her stepdaughters, Shelley Martin (Dale Martin), Deanna Nelson (Jason Nelson) and Kim Bay (Josh Bay); her stepgrandchildren, Caleb Martin, Kalyn Martin, Franki Martin, Dailey Martin, Myley Martin, Dale Martin, Treylen Martin, Kyley Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Rustin Nelson, Kaycie Bay and Logan Bay; her stepgreat-grandparents, Eli, Caleb, Lyla, Kannyn and Krayden; and her pet Sandy.
A memorial has been established for a memorial plaque that will be hung in the Arkansas City Police Department in Karen's honor.
