He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McDowell and Marjorie McDowell; his wife Sherry Annette Rutherford; his grandson Spencer McDowell; and his siblings, Charles McDowell (Leeroy) and Donna Horton.
He is survived by: his children, George McDowell (Heidi) of Arkansas City, KS, Monette McCune (Perry) of Arkansas City, KS and Michelle Bruce (Phillip) of Arkansas City, KS; and his sister Beth Brooks of Maddison, KS. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
