James Alden Harper Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alden Harper of Arkansas City, Kansas, who passed away on March 5, 2021 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Augustus A. Harper; and his stepfather Jack Givens. He is survived by: his mother Betty Givens (Gilmore) of Arkansas City; his wife Sheryl Harper; his sons, James Harper II (Megan) of Arkansas City, Jonathan Harper of Arkansas City and Joshua Harper (Cindy) of Arkansas City; his siblings, Robert Harper of Arkansas City, Janice Anderson (Dana) of Edmond, OK and Elizabeth Allen of Grapeland, TX; and his grandchildren, Brier Harper, Sophia, Caden Harper and Hadleigh Harper.

A memorial has been established for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
