With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elva Mae Godfrey of Arkansas City, Kansas, born in Mayetta, Kansas, who passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elva Mae Godfrey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Gagnebin and Elva Eva Gagnebin (Blair); and her son Marc A. Godfrey. She is survived by: her husband James Godfrey; her children, Kim Senior (Andrew) and Scott Godfrey (Rebecca); her daughter-in-law Cheryl Godfrey; and her grandchildren, Shannon Land, Richard Godfrey, Anthony Senior, Peter Senior, Lucy McDaniel, Ezra Godfrey, Alexander Godfrey and Eliza Godfrey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Angels in the Attic or the First Presbyterian Church of Arkansas City or Winfield, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
