She was predeceased by: her parents, T. W. Gilbert and Ada Gilbert (Weeks); her husband John A. York; her grandson Glen "Skippy" York; and her son-in-law David Herren.
She is survived by: her children, Glen York (Linda) of Paris, TX, Rick York (Kathy) of Arkansas City, KS and Diane Herren of Arkansas City; and her grandchildren, John York (Vicki), Jeff York (Tisha), David York and Dallas Herren. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shelley Family Funeral Home (906 W Kansas Ave, Arkansas City, KS 67005). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church - Ark City (138 E Kansas Ave, Arkansas City, KS 67005).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
