She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan L. Shumate and Edith R. Shumate (Scott); her husband John R. Watts; her brothers, Roy Shumate and Wayne Shumate; her sons, Rick and Gary; her granddaughter Stacia Peach; and her great grandchild Lucas Peach.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joni Curl of Arkansas City, KS and Jana Lumbert (Ross) of Rose Hill, KS; her niece Margie Strieter (Michael) of Laurel, MD; her nephew Wayne Shumate Jr. (Tammy) of San Bernardino, CA; and her sister-in-law Pauline Carlin (Jim) of Laurel, MD. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to expand the John R. Watts Memorial Scholarship through Cowley College may be made through the funeral home.
