Constance L. Shanks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance L. Shanks (Arkansas City, Kansas), who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren B. Rush and Mildred M. Rush (Kennedy); her parents-in-law, Clifford and Vera Shanks (Beeby); her brother Rex Rush; her husband Max D. Shanks; and her daughter L. Donelle Long.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Parsons (Glenn) of Galena and Marla Sanderholm (Mike) of Ark City; her brother Bedford Rush (Bud) of Ark City; and her grandchildren, Kathi Grossenbacher (Jeff) of Bern, Chad Estes (Haley) of Tulsa, OK, Aaron Sanderholm (Lindsay) of Ark City, Chelsea Hutchens (Johnny) of Okay, OK, Derik Hobbs (Joann) of Lampe, MO and Drew Parsons (Jessica) of Nixa, MO. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The graveside Celebration of Life that was scheduled for 10:00 a. m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery has been cancelled due to Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established through Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home to Good Shepherd Hospice and Cowley County Humane Society.
