He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his parents, Herschel and Gertrude; his siblings, Delbert, David, Jana and Judy; his siblings-in-law, Bob Cardenas, Gene Turley, Walter Reazin and Virginia Whaley; his son-in-law Rodney Christenson; and his granddaughter Rachel Kae.
He is survived by: his children, Herschel (Gertrude Whaley), Vicki Christenson of Junction City, Gary (Janet) of Lenexa and Scott (Lori) of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Dustin (Kambria), Nick (Cassie), Zachary (Ashley), Aaron and Madisyn; his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Owen and Khloe; his siblings, Mary Cardenas, Linda Reazin and Larry Whaley; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Whaley, Ray Kile and Galen Noble.
