He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Eva O'Daniel (Crow); his wife Florence Lee Sparks; and his siblings, Frances, Betty Ann, Gerald, Donny and Duane.

He is survived by: his children, Kelvin O'Daniel (Michelle) of Arkansas City and Kim McNinch (Dennis) of Arnold, KS; his grandchildren, Tanner McNinch (Candice), Colton McNinch (Stacie), Sean O'Daniel (Ashley), Seth O'Daniel, Kyle O'Daniel (Kelsey) and Kelcey O'Daniel; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Cromley, Janet Rowland, Janet Sparks, Karen Sparks, Roberta Sparks, Thelma Sparks and Loye Sparks. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Senior Center. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
