It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy L. (Ferris) Creighton of Arkansas City, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Lorraine and Ardelia Lee Ferris (Reser); her brother Daniel; and her aunt Melba Catherine Hansen. She is survived by: her children, Matthew "Matt" (Yvonne Creighton) of Haysville, Seth (Monica Creighton) of Wichita and Erica (Paul Hicks) of Dallas, Georgia; her grandchildren, Taylor (Michaela Creighton) of Mulvane, Courtney (Avery Woelk) of Derby, Connor Creighton of Haysville, Lauryn Creighton of Wichita, Ashlyn Creighton of Wichita, Caleb of Dallas, Georgia, Tristan of Dallas, Georgia and Evie Hicks of Dallas, Georgia; her siblings, Jim (Kathy Ferris) of Ames, Rebecca "Becky" (Rick Lane) of Derby, Jean (Dick Phillips) of Arkansas City, Floyd (Rosena Ferris) of Derby and Robert (Kathleen Ferris) of Harrah, Oklahoma; and her cousin Bruce Shrouf of Wichita. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and grandchildren.
The funeral has been postponed due to Covid-19.
A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Humane Society.
