He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dale Townsend and Anita Townsend (Boyles); his wife Cheryl Townsend; his children, Patrick Townsend (Emily) of Sinclair, WY and Amy Townsend-Goad (Scott) of Arkansas City; his sister Dyanna Lawson (Nat) of Aledo, TX; his grandchildren, Savannah, Alexis, Bryce, Dylan Townsend, Taytum, Aidan Aldridge, Maddie Osburn, Bailee and Brylee Goad; and his great grandchildren, Kaden and Fern. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Those attending are required to follow all Covid-19 mandates including the wearing of a mask and social distancing.

A memorial has been established for the Byron Townsend Memorial Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
