She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Banister and Cora Banister (Stephens); her son Kelly Faulkenburg; and her siblings, Nevella, Pauline Simpson and Marvin Banister.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Peterson; her daughter Dawnetta Mahoney (Robert) of Greenbay, WI; her grandson Korban Buell of Arkansas City; her nieces, Tammy Rowe (R. J.) of Arkansas City and Jennifer Boyle (Tony) of Arkansas; and her siblings, Wilma Hale of Missouri, Paul Banister of Missouri and Melvin Banister of Oklahoma.
