He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Applegate and Opal Applegate (Schwartz). He is survived by: his siblings, Jean (Mike Conkling) of Pretty Prairie, Charlie Applegate (Joanne Applegate) of Wichta and Donnie Applegate of Arkansas City; his nieces, Tara Conkling, Andi (Lyle Sobba) and Amanda Applegate (Ryan Wing); his nephew Alex Applegate; and his great-niece Sophia Sobba.
