She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sparks and Pauline Sparks (Sherman). She is survived by: her husband Jim Gates; her children, Ginny Nelson (David), Tara King, Sarah Kangas and David Story (Ramona); her stepchildren, Kenny King, Debbie Bradford, Eric Gates (Sunny), Jody Hannah (John), Wendy Watts and Christy Gates; and her siblings, Jack Sparks and Judy Lane (Ted). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials in memory of Carol may be made to Revolution Fellowship Church or the Anthony Ministerial Association and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
