He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ames and Faye Ames (Shaffer); his brother Keith Ames; and his stepson Jerry Majors. He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his sister Lila Ames; his nieces, Cynda Grimes (Russell), Rhonda Watson (Frank) and Brenda Hodges; his grandchildren, Jermey Majors (Chrissy), Misty Majors, Logan Majors and Leah Gonzalez (Oscar); and his great grandchildren, Andrew Serna, Jenna Majors, Malakhi Majors, Alexis Majors, Page Majors, Evelyn Majors, Adalina Majors, Malerie Silerio-Rivas and Ivan Gonzalez.
