He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Marie Miller; and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Miller. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Miller (Cheryl) of Iola, KS and Susan Farris of Andover, KS; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Meairs (Buck), Levi Farris, Megan Miller, Mandy Roe (Bill) and Melissa Kent (Ryan). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
