He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Frame; his children, Jennifer Matkin, Libby Matkin and Adam Matkin; his grandchildren, Pate Matthews of Andover and Autumn Matkin; and his brothers, Kenton (Jolene) of Fort Scott and Brad (Tammy) of Fort Scott. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
