He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Mead and Winifred Mead (Hemmert); his siblings, Lonnie Mead, Velda Osborne and Judy Johnson; and his granddaughters, Sadie and Tempe.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Demmitt of Meade Kansas; his children, Garvin Mead, Lance Mead (Heidi) of Peck Kansas and Kristi Bratton (Theo) of Lawrence Kansas; his grandsons, Blake, Darry, Dalin, Shelton and Anton; his great grandchildren, Bella and Ryker; and his siblings, Dean Mead (Linda) of Kansas City, MO, Darwyn Mead (Pat) of McPherson, KS and Connie Wallis of Searcy, AR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
