She is survived by: her husband Brian Newport; her daughter Allison Schimelpfenig; her son-in-law Nolan Schimelpfenig; her children, Jeremy Newport and Rebecca Newport; her mother Maridel Alspaw; her mother-in-law Joyce Newport; her sister Susan Warner; her brother-in-law Kevin Warner; her nephew Weston Warner (Laura); and her nieces, Whitney Kerr (Jordan) and Bethany Knauth (Shane).
Memorial Fund Details Christy had a lifelong passion for missions, and it was her desire to set up a memorial fund to support Campus Outreach in their global mission to reach the next generation for Christ. Donations will support her daughter, Rebecca, as she moves to New Zealand to do ministry with college students.
