With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne W. VanGundy of Americus, Kansas, born in Neosho Rapids, Kansas, who passed away on February 20, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David VanGundy and Nellie Clark VanGundy; his wife Emma Lou; his son David; and his grandson Nathan Penny.
He is survived by: his children, Michael VanGundy (Sharon) of Americus, Marcia Boggs (Terry) of Ft. Worth and Marlene Penny (Bill) of Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Laura Penny Hedges (Bryan), Sarah Penny Smith (Wyatt), Jonathan Penny (Kim), Scott Penny (Sarah), Kris Boggs (Melissa), Ashley Boggs Miller (Brian), Carissa VanGundy Marshall (Scott), Amy VanGundy Shatzer (Ryan), John VanGundy (Jodi), Rachelle VanGundy Fisher (Bren) and Natasha VanGundy. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
