With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald L. Myers of Americus, Kansas, born in Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin C. Myers and Gladys L. Myers (Johnson); and his brother Phillip. He is survived by: his former wife Verla Lou Mize; his wife Sharon M. Ludwig; his children, Stephen Spellman (Clare), Jennifer Myers (Chris Polk), Carrie McElfresh (John), Nicole Thomas and Stephanie Daugaard; his brothers, Gary D. Myers and Howard L. Myers; and his grandchildren, Dustyn, Cameron, Allison, Jessica, Shelby, Danielle, Tucker, Gavin, Willow, Fallan, Jordan, Andrew, Ashlyn, Amanda, Ann, Samantha and Natalie. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Americus Township Library with contributions sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
