He is survived by: his wife Retha; his children, Leeann Carter of Altoona, Connie Cooper (Kevin) of Chanute and Lynn Carter (Carrie) of Thayer; his grandchildren, Sarah Bruner (Mike) of Chanute, Jerrod Myers (Tanya) of Chanute, Dakota Carter of Altoona, Caden Carter of Thayer and Chance Carter of Thayer; and his great grandchild Makenzie Leroy.
