He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward and Marjorie Mathes (Gamble); his daughter Valeri Elaine Mathes; and his sister Deanie McClaflin. He is survived by: his children, Shannan Mathes of Oswego, Brent Mathes (Jennifer) of Bartlett, Todd Mathes (Sarah) of Bartlesville, Dane Mathes (Jane) of Sapulpa, Jettina Richardson (Dave) of Parsons and Janet Bunch of Miami; and his brother Curtis Mathes (Lesha) of Hawaii. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
