It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Schmidt (Alma, Kansas), who passed away on February 15, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Schmidt and Helen Schmidt (Johnson); and his son-in-law Jeff Short. He is survived by: his children, Janet Wertzberger of Alma, KS, Jolene Saunders (Larry), Jacque Henne (Lowell) and Robert W. Schmidt (Doris); his siblings, Virginia Czirr (Glenn), Charlotte Bruyn, Jack Schmidt and Carol Patrick; and his grandchildren, Jarrod Wertzberger, Angie Decker, Lindsey Pontious, A. J. Wertzberger, Brandon Saunders, Danielle Campbell, Chelsie Saunders, Rebecca Short, Michael Short, Cole Schmidt and Clay Schmidt. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
