She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Francis Kennedy and Dorothy Kennedy (Hicks); her husband George Degand; her children, George Degand Jr. of Lake Charles, Christopher Degand of Manhattan, Kansas, Dorothy Bennett (Joe) of Punxsutawney, Patricia Hornsby (Wade) of Lake Charles, Sarah Degand of Topeka and Heather Frank of Wamego; her half-brother George Hayes of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and her sister Crystal Beckwith of Topeka. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
