We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2023, at the age of 93, Bill Dean Schwalm of Alma, Kansas, born in Paxico, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar W. Schwalm and Bertha Schwalm (Brock); his daughter Rene Akers; his grandson Tanyr; and his siblings, Jean, Donald, Marge, Oscar Jr. and Patricia.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Ruth Southerland; his children, Larry Schwalm, Alma, Nancy Shreve (Mark) and Shawnee; his grandchildren, Richard Wagner (Shelby), Jessica Wagner (John), Amanda Wagner (Mike), Abbey Wagner, Kage Akers, Tana Akers and Ryan Quintanilla (Renee); his great grandchildren, Kyla, Natalie, Talon, Austin, Emma, Rylan, Keaton, Anniston, Carter, Caysen and Felix; and his caregiver Monica Hinch. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
They suggest memorial contributions to Interim Hospice, Alma United Methodist Church, or the Wabaunsee County Historical Society, and those may be sent in care of Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home.
